Quota-Bull

Screw football, boy’s basketball, and all other Westview sports: everybody knows that the Lady Scapegoats basketball team reigns above all other sports teams, thanks of course to Summer “Specialest Snowflake” Moore. Whatever will capture the imagination of the Westviewvians now that there’s no more girls’ hoops?

Re: panel 3: “You can stack the deck all you want…but chance gets the last deal.” I thought the whole point of “stacking the deck” was to eliminate chance. Maybe TB is really just tipping the Funky fedora to his fellow cartoonist Chance Browne?

Room for "Rents"

This partnership is off to a less-than-promising start. A real man would tell his mate “Let’s tell our daughters that we just got engaged” (and did they not see Summer and Keisha, stoned again and shooting hoops in the driveway when they got home?). Rather than acting as head of this soon-to-be-blended family, Les flails his wrist and snivels: “So…who wants to tell the girls?” as he and Cayla make a beeline for that ol’ porch swing. None of it matters, since Keisha and Summer – those imps! – have snuck within earshot just in time to hear Les bring the Sunday-only readers up to speed.

The Apprentice (and: Contest Announcement!)

Nope, Bull just can’t help himself: he just has to go and get in the way of his daughter making a new friend. Too late: Jessica has invoked the Westview Employment Clause, where everyone in town must work for somebody else in town.
