Prisoner: Cell Block (ZZZZZZZ)

Link To Today’s Strip

Today we get our first look at Pete Mossman aka Pete Moss aka Plantman and…well…he looks kind of like every other fat, balding and overweight Westviewian, like ever. I really thought he’d resemble a tree or something. What a letdown. I’m not really sure what he’s talking about regarding his “insensitivity”, as he didn’t say anything especially insensitive until he commented on his insensitivity, which makes no sense at all. But seriously, would you expect anything less out of this “comic” strip? Huh?

And note to Jessica: the camera works far more effectively when it’s turned on and pointed at the subject of the interview. Although in fairness that shot of the base of that prison table will probably be the most compelling footage she gets, so why not go with it?

  1. He’s a mentally unstable murderer deliberately mocking the child of his victim, and I STILL like him more than any of the regular characters.

  2. Why, I just want to get my hands on this guy and…take off the shackles, quick, I’ve got the door and I’ll hold ’em off as long as I can, hurry, and we can get rid of another one like ~her father, John Darling©~, hurry, hurry.

  3. Plantman: “So, how’d I do?”

    Jess: “….*…what?”

Plantman: “My audition, how’d I do? When my agent told me I wasn’t sexy enough for ‘Orange Is the New Black’, I told him I’d slim down and beef up my ‘smolder’ skills! So, how am I? Hot? Too hot? If you want, I can tone my hotness dow-”

Jess: “This isn’t an audition for the TV show! This is to find out why you murdered my father, John Darling, who was murdered!”

Plantman: “Really?!? Yeesh, Les Moore wrote an unpublished bestseller about that already!”

    Jess: “AAAAAAAUGH!”

  4. I love how there’s no barrier between the prisoner and visitor in Westview Prison. They probably have very lax security. I guess they probably assume that no prisoner actually wants to escape and hide out in the town of Westview. Prison is probably a better place that the hellhole that is the town of Westview.

  5. If chaining the waistbelt to a loop in the prison floor isn’t the epitome of high security, then I don’t know what is.

  6. So Jessica have you figured out why your father John Darling, who was murdred, was murdered?

  7. ” I guess they probably assume that no prisoner actually wants to escape and hide out in the town of Westview.”

Their last prisoner was Red Chief………………

  8. —If chaining the waistbelt to a loop in the prison floor isn’t the epitome of high security, then I don’t know what is.—-

Just noticed that….so if Plantman decided to use this opportunity to unbelt and masturbate to Jessica, he’d be a free man. Then again the guards probably assumed that no woman seeing a prisoner in Westview is worth coming on to.

  9. Wow, BatHack sure did his research, didn’t he? He’s as competent as Girl With Daddy Issues….who WILL be surprised that there’s a book that explains everything!!

  10. Batominc has found his artistic voice in the character of Pete[r] Moss[man]. Behold the face of sullen hatred in panel 2! It epitomizes the fear and loathing in Batom’s heart of darkness.

  11. TFH: Thanks, I didn’t watch it but I do remember it, was wondering if anyone would get it LOL!

  12. If Plantman can kill Jessica, then Skyler has a career path. “I’m making a movie about my mother, Jess Fairgood, who was murdered when I was a baby, and Summer Moore wrote a book about it.”
