What started out as the most entertaining FW arc in a while has predictably settled into a rut. Clearly Darin’s made it clear that he wants nothing to do with Frankie, Lenny, and their proposed reality show.

Clearly there would be such a big audience of people watching a show about people vaguely connected to a woman who died from cancer.
Lenny certainly seems to think so. Meanwhile Darin need to dial it back just a bit, as he’s crossed over to making terroristic threats.

Ok, “I’ve got three different words” sounds a little more natural, but I won’t nitpick: today’s punchline makes this the funniest FW strip all year! I stand in line.
Not One for the Books
“…this girl that he had been with“? Do these Hollywood clowns realize that that’s no way to talk about Our Lady of Westview? Darin is trying hard, very hard, to keep his cool, but that cocked eyebrow in panel 1 tells me that he’s seconds away from losin’ his shit. And I’ve been trying not to imply that their “partnership” is more than “strictly business,” but Lenny is practically feeling up “his man” in panel 2. Maybe Lenny is Frankie’s “Leon”, and whatever loot that they manage to pry from Darin and Les is going towards gender reassignment surgery, like in Dog Day Afternoon…
