Wally’s come “home”? Are he and Rachel shacking up now? That doesn’t look like Wally’s pad…there’s actual furniture and a framed picture (and what appears to be Ann Apple’s pink outfit in the lower left corner of p2). Is he giving her the Heimlich Maneuver in panel 2, or just getting “frisky”? C’mon, guys… not in front of the dog.

Café au Lame
The coffee klastch continues. Becky, in a roundabout way, extends to Wally an invitation to Westview’s spring concert. Maybe she’ll let him sit in on trombone. Buddy seems riled up at Becky’s question in panel 2. No need for alarm, though: Wally in panel 3 looks positively chill. Hey, is that Ersatz Bros. Coffee they’re drinking?
Mind Blindness
Wally does seem more “at ease”, though his panel 1 profile reminds me of a mummified corpse. And “seeing eye dog for the mind” smacks of something that TB heard in the course of his service dog “research”…filing it away to be served up as today’s punchline.
