How did she ring the doorbell?
(Ahwatukee joe’s comment from last year’s turkey sale arc was so deliciously snarky I just had to bring it back.) At least this year Becky is smiling at potential customers rather than threatening them.
Screw football, boy’s basketball, and all other Westview sports: everybody knows that the Lady Scapegoats basketball team reigns above all other sports teams, thanks of course to Summer “Specialest Snowflake” Moore. Whatever will capture the imagination of the Westviewvians now that there’s no more girls’ hoops?
Re: panel 3: “You can stack the deck all you want…but chance gets the last deal.” I thought the whole point of “stacking the deck” was to eliminate chance. Maybe TB is really just tipping the Funky fedora to his fellow cartoonist Chance Browne?
The Westview teachers are “just folks” after all, fretting about how they will fund their childrens’ college education. When you consider that teachers’ salaries are a major factor in the high cost of higher education, the irony of this week’s “salary freeze” arc is pretty astounding indeed.
One of the perks of being the Principal is being able to use the school’s message board to chastise the whole town. The bright side in all this, of course, is that now Roberta Blackburn will have to resign her BOE post.
What the hell is this lady’s problem? 
All Bull wants to do is his civic duty: casting his vote for the school levy. Did he do or say something offensive just prior to this scene? Not only is old Pineapple Head Lady threatening him, her fellow poll workers look on with expressions of shock and disgust. I almost feel sorry for Mr. Bushka.
I just like the Popeye Legs on the voter in panel 2.
