“I’ve just alerted all of our friends…” Hey Westview, you’ve got mail! Frankie and his “reality TV crew” (Lenny with a camcorder) are coming to get some dirt on St. Lisa. Not so as to waste any time, the “crew” does away with advance calls and pre-interviews and just shows up on the doorstep rolling film. Rather than flat-out telling Frankie to GTFO, they’ve been instructed by wise Les just to play dumb; i.e., to lie. Funky follows these instructions to the hilt, practically channeling his senile father. Bull, as always, is able to get by with physical intimidation: “Never heard of her.” SLAM! And Crazy Harry’s just dim; doesn’t realize that Lisa Crawford is that Lisa.

This Week in SoSF

Hey gang. So I’ve been in the process this week of moving SoSF to WordPress.com (long story). I’ll spare y’all the technical aspects and the reasons why. One of the glitches in the process has been that my sometimes guest-poster davidorth has been unable to login as an admin to write his posts. Hence the sorta sketchy format this week. Until we get things sorted out, please enjoy today’s strip.

Addendum: might as well link to today’s Crankshaft too, where we glimpse a young couple named Fairgood who are not Darin and Jess.

When you think about it, why would Boy Lisa be leaving? He works AND lives there, shouldn’t Frankie be the one leaving?

And why is the act of leaving taking so damn long? Darin’s started hustling Jess towards the exit as soon as Lenny mentioned their “show”, pausing only to express his indignation. Turns out that Plan B is another, darker reality show, where good guy Frankie’s paternal overtures are rebuffed by dickhead Darin.

Ok, ok I get it TB you hate reality shows. I don’t like them either, but I don’t behave like a douche about it.

Yes, guess we can add wicked, evil “reality TV” to TB’s list of “contemporary issues affecting young adults.”
