Make 'em Pay
School’s in, and Les is still a teacher at Westview High, and bumbling Bull has managed to hang on as the Scapegoats’ athletic director. Les brings up the unpopular phenomenon of Pay-to-Participate fees that are being instituted in cash-strapped schools. Bull’s wife Linda brings up the fact that Westview’s football team sucks.
Summoned
For lack of anything new or interesting to comment upon today, let us focus on Principal Nate’s messenger. I don’t know if it’s the custom in real-world high schools, but apparently students at Westview are pressed into various and sundry clerical positions.Which must really suck for students such as our Miss Generic Brunette, as evinced by her disdainful expression, terrible posture, and the way she’s holding the message from Nate like it’s one of Cody’s discarded Kleenex.
Got Your Numbnuts
In the aftermath of the Les-pocalypse, jilted Cayla confides in Linda over coffee in the faculty workroom. Linda takes the opportunity to entice Cayla into a lesbian affair, but her overture is immediately interrupted when husband Bull arrives on the scene. Linda sheepishly reverts to the role of doting wife, and Bull responds with, what else, a sports-themed quip. And um, one doesn’t retire one’s own number, the team does.

Not only that, she’s also materialistic to the point where the mere suggestion of a threat to her accustomed lifestyle triggers a fainting spell.
Boy, TB’s all over the place this week, huh? In the interest of continuity, I’ve reworked today’s panel 2 so it flows a little better from yesterday’s strip:
