SoSF…the number one FW fan site on the entire internet. SoSF…the ONLY FW fan site on the entire internet. I’m still waiting to hear someone utter the most unlikely sequence of words the English language has to offer. “Oh, you read FW every day too?”. How something can exist for so long and be so obscure just boggles my mind.
I actually have a feeling that that’s far more reasonable than the real TB would be.
I do recall actually seeing a FW fan page years ago. It was either an AOL or Geocities page. Possibly Angelfire, maybe. I don’t think it had been updated since before Lisa got cancer.
And I have a feeling that the only reason Batiuk is still published is because of the internet and computers. Like, a decade ago, somebody just set up Batiuk’s paycheck to direct deposit, and kept renewing his strip, and the only humans who’ve noticed just assume somebody else is responsible for it’s still being published. Honestly, sheer forgetfulness or not even noticing it anymore is about the only rational explanation for why this strip exists anymore.
