What’s up fellow funky fans! SoSfDavidO here with today’s strip , which only time will tell is a one-off dumb gag or the start of something much more serious for Hollywood’s hottest leading man!
I must say, the new artist is going to take some getting used to. Gone are the days of the severest of hatchet-faces. Mason actually looks somewhat like he could be a leading man in the first panel instead of a human tomahawk. Could it be? Now I miss Tombat’s old, classic style!
What happened to the SJ “downtime”? They’re still filming? Is this a sequel? Why does every single f*cking FW arc provoke dozens of new, never to be answered questions? Oh…right…the hackery.
Mr. Director is not equipped or qualified to confer any tangible humor either. Just like TB.
Cover your freaking nose, Mason.
Mr. Director Man looks a lot less like a pinhead. I can no longer tell if that’s good or bad.
Here, we have Director Man boring us by being Disclaimer Man. On the other side, Crankshaft is being used as an avatar for Batiuk’s persecution complex. Reason: Ed violated a ban on watering his lawn and hates the idea of being castigated and prosecuted for it. It’s like how we were supposed to applaud last week’s tiresome episode in which we learned that while Batiuk loves things, he’s completely terrible at explaining why he likes them and why we should be interested in them too.
And now we’re on to something else. That Flash Museum “story” the last two weeks was so incoherent, and so foolish, I was sure we were in the midst of another dream sequence. But apparently it was something that actually happened in the Funkyverse. Forget about dream sequences, it’s an ongoing waking nightmare for the reader.
Why is Masone always shown in his “actor’s chair” reading? Why is he never shown doing some kind of acting??
And does Marianne Winters still have a role in this project, or did Cindy successfully get her blackballed from Hollywood? Or maybe Marianne just decided to quit on her own after someone insulted her on Twitter?
Today Crankshaft is being chased by a mob wielding torches and pitchforks.
I think I have a new desktop wallpaper.
How long have they been filming this movie? Its been a year and a half….Batiuk needs to study Hollywood before he writes it, no movie films for that long. even filming two movies back to back wouldn’t take that long
