  1. Ugh. How long was THIS gag festering away in that comic book-addled brain of his? You finally worked it into the strip…nicely done. Nice to see the Comic Con arc chugging along to a timely and relevant resolution, too. Sigh.

  2. It’s a tractor pulling a slide, Cindy. It’s not that mysterious.
Is it just me, or does “sandboni” sound like a weird, obscure, racial slur?

  3. TB should leave the Zamboni jokes to Charles Schulz. He should leave cartooning to Schulz too, but one thing at a time.

  4. @Epicus Doomus I think there has to be some sort of plot to have a relevant resolution. And I get the feeling that Batiuk will probably drag this out for two to three weeks.

  5. We’re probably going to spend most of July looking at stupid vignettes that remind us of Batiuk’s lack of focus and lack of curiosity.

  6. Does this attempt at punnery mean that Masoné Jarré is going to grow up to be Ed Crankshaft?

Actually, for a gag-a-day strip the joke’s not all that terrible, almost up to the level of something created by Walker-Browne Amalgamated Humor LLC on a day when the writers wanted to beat the noon rush to the first tee. It’s just kinda less effort than one would expect from a “reality-based comic strip that depicts contemporary issues affecting young adults in a thought-provoking and sensitive manner.”™

  7. It’s funny I guess because Cindy and Masone are up at 5am for some reason? And Cindy has never been to a beach before?
