Today’s strip teaches us that there are two things T-Bats knows nothing about. The first is drawing handshakes. Here’s a guy who’s had his doodles in the newspaper for over forty years, and yet whenever two of his characters shake hands, they always look like one of them is blocking a punch from the other. Pro tip, Tom, the fingers wrap around under the wrists.
The other thing of which he’s apparently ignorant is the time it takes to make a decent pizza. If the restaurant is keeping a bunch of pre-made pies in the walk-in, it might be possible to get it through the oven, into a box, and into the sky in under twenty minutes, but that’s not good quality…and they’re trying out an unproven technology to boot. Pretty clever the way Funky has gotten Tony so riled up that this drone thing is practically guaranteed to fail.
I’ve got no idea what the hell Wally is supposed to be doing with that cell phone. He’s been pretty much in his own little world this whole week, so I bet he’s just playing Pokemon Go while those two old fools argue.

Son of Stuck Funky 
Ever since Monday I’ve been wondering if we’ll actually see this thing take to the air. I KNOW we’ll see them TALKING ABOUT it taking to the air, but will Batty actually show it? I still say no way, no chance, no how. Prove me wrong, Author Guy, prove me wrong.
The only pizzas that drone could actually carry are Bagel Bites, which can be prepared and delivered in the promised time frame and are probably better than the typical Montoni’s pie anyways. I’m thinking Tony’s idea has merit.
Considering Funky’s bound to be at least helping make that pizza, I’d say that should be a pretty easy $101 for him to earn.
I’m not sure. Batiuk’s had it in for Funky for a while now so we could be looking at him lose so our boy can avenge himself on the popular kids who got all the girls.
“You sayah ‘Beta testing?’ Now-ah you-ah justa makin uppa words, Funky!”
The operative phrase is “delivered by a Drone.”.
Sounds like a job for Wally.
If it weren’t for the lack of consistency with the artwork, I would say that this strip is authored by some sort of servomechanism.
So maybe Wally will be in charge of flying this thing, since he has combat/video game/something experience.
Of course, there are lots of things wrong with this idea that have probably been discussed. A drone that’s big enough and powerful enough to deliver a pizza further away than a couple of blocks (a distance that Wally could just walk and hand-carry the pizza just as quick) would be prohibitively expensive (Funky would need to deliver hundreds or thousands of pizzas using this method just to break even). Plus, the battery life for a drone like that is not that great – half an hour at best, so they would either need a collection of spare (really expensive) batteries or they’d have to recharge the batteries every time they deliver a pizza.
Wally is uploading this video to You Tube as “Two idiots bet on Dumbest Fucking idea Eve!” Which they will probably make more money than this drone ever will.
