Deep Impression

So the hang is rightfully concerned about being punched by Wedgeman, re-enforcing the “bullying is funny” theme Tombat has been running with for the last 40 years. However, given the amount of already-misshapen heads we’ve seen wandering the halls at Westview High I can’t help but to wonder if they’ve mostly all already been punched. Check out Cody’s noggin in today’s comic !

Its a Rang Thang

Today’s strip give us one last chance to catch up with this rag-tag group of Westview misfits before sailing off into the sunset, other than the obvious matter of the Comix Corner and Montoni’s being the only places of employment in town so they’re bound to end up there. Late in the game, Tombat’s introduced us to the twin sisters that could conceivably shoulder the responsibility of being the students FW focuses on for the next five to eight years.

Ring Dongs

Whoops! It looks like Tombat forgot the time-honored tradition of getting your class ring and is now having to shoehorn it in at the last minute in today’s strip. “Senior Class Ring”?! Is that a thing? I only remember getting one class ring and that was in 10th grade. That was 5 or 6 or 25 years ago, though, and times may have changed. Since I don’t sit in on high school classes “observing students” I’ll have to defer to our comic author’s expertise.

Unpunny

Wow, after coming up with pretty lame planet/pizza based pun after pun, Tony settles on a random string of words strung together in today’s strip and we’re supposed to be impressed?

Pizza Purveyor!? Is there anything Mason *doesn’t* do? Are we really supposed to believe Hollywood stars and starlets are going to eat greasy, fattening, skin-wrecking pizza while working on an action film that probably demands a rigorous workout?
